On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the Fifth Meeting of the International Committee on GNSS (ICG-5), we have the pleasure to invite you and warmly welcome you to Turin, Italy this coming October. The ICG-5 will be held at the International Training Centre (ITC), in Turin, Italy, from 18 to 22 October2010.
The International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems is established on a voluntary basis as an informal body to promote cooperation, as appropriate, on matters of mutual interest related to civilian satellite-based positioning, navigation, timing and value-added services, as well as the compatibility and interoperability of global navigation satellite systems, while increasing their use to support sustainable development, particularly in developing countries.
Participants are system providers, international governmental organizations and international non-governmental organizations. This ICG-5 meeting will include an expanded agenda to permit time for the plenary session discussions, Providers’ Forum discussions and Working Groups meetings.
The meeting will take place at the International Training Centre in Turin, Italy, which is an advanced vocational training institute. Since 1964 the center has matured a focal point for high-level in-service training. The Centre's training and residential facilities consist of 21 low-rise buildings set in ten hectares of riverside parkland in Turin. On this compact, functional campus, people from all over the Globe live and learn together in a stimulating international environment.
We look forward to seeing you in Turin!
